We can all be very proud of the Polish American Congress' representation at
the Taste America event for Members of Congress and their families at the United
States Capitol on August 2.
From my visit to the Washington Office the day before the event, I can
personally attest to the impressive display and hospitality that were prepared.
The huge map of the United States detailing, state by state, the Polish imprint
on The Great American Outdoors, backed by considerable research, was truly
impressive, as were the posters and numerous informational handouts about the
PAC and Polish contributions to America. The fruit juices and sweets were tasty;
and the "goodie" bags most enticing.
Dr. Barbara Borzuchowska Andersen and her volunteer summer associates deserve
huge kudos and our appreciation for their arduous labors and outstanding
performance.
Special thanks are also due to the sponsors, without whose support such an
impressive display and generous Polish hospitality would not have been possible.
Participation in this event with the type of display that was prepared gave a
great boost to the Polish American Congress and is exactly what we should be
doing to advance the PAC's American Agenda.
President Spula's presence contributed immeasurably to keeping Polish Americans
on the minds of Capitol Hill and Washington.
I hope that we will raise and make resources available both to repeat the PAC's
participation in Taste of America and similar events in future years and to
replicate the collected information for use in our divisions and states.
Using information from this press release also can aid in membership
recruitment, for our sponsorship of this event provides an excellent reason why
people should join the PAC. Proud to be Polish!
